I am more in to practical and choose to rent. I dont know about here but I jakarta, you can custom made you dress ( NEW) with out buying it, so the bridal store will rent it to other people, so you will wear it for the first time.
To rent now a days also is very easy and we can get plenty of designs.

If I have the budget and plan to make the custom made one, I will make sure the design are classic and simple. Vera Wang maybe?

It’s true that we must use our “dream dress” for our wedding day since it is once in a life time ( in some cases ) but I prefer to use the budget for something else, as long the dress that I rent suit my taste .

i would have my wedding dress custom made… Its that one special thing in life, which is part of your big day, reminding you of how beautiful your marriage is and how getting into the whole wedded life is something you would treasure..

Manatau, every year during our anniversary, me n my ‘future’ husband wud celebrate in our tuxe n gown and go paktoh? Hahaha or though it may be out of fashion by the time my kids get married, my daugthers wud ‘re-use’ my gown or at least use part of it for their own gowns..

So much of berangan, but yes i would have it custom made rather than having it rented. Tee-heeee

Definitely custom made. It doesn’t have to be expensive. You can even buy the fabric yourself and get a tailor to do it for you according to your design. Both my sisters did this and it didn’t cost a fortune! As for myself, I got mine custom made in KL. Although it cost a bit more, but I designed it in such a way that I can wear it for future formal events. I even made sure got room for future alteration faham2 ja lah…

Anyway, at the end of the day, it is your special day and you should do what’s best for you… if it makes you happy
